Penetration Testing Print

Threat and vulnerability environments are expanding rapidly.  IT applications, operating systems, and networks are becoming more complex.  While new system weaknesses and vulnerabilities emerge across this infrastructure on a daily basis, the skill level necessary to launch malicious attacks continues to decline rapidly.  And step-by-step, as companies open their networks to outside parties, such as, customers, partners, and suppliers, the traditional boundaries that separated trusted users from unwelcomed ones are becoming harder to define, more difficult to manage, and easier to penetration without authorization.

Penetration Testing is the porcess of determining how effectively a host, system, device, network, procedure, person meets specific security objectives. Penetration Testing often at times includes non-technical methods of attack.  Penetration testing is useful for determining:

  • How well the system tolerates real world-style attack patterns
  • The likely level of sophistication an attacker needs to successfully compromise the system
  • Additional countermeasures that could mitigate threats against the system
  • Defenders' ability to detect attacks and respond appropriately.

How WCS will help you?

WCS's Penetration Testing service is an application and network security assessment offered to government entities and organzations who want to evaluate any threats and vulnerabilities to their application and network environment.  This service conducts real-life testing of the organization's applications, systems and devices to determine the organization's resiliency to internal and external attacks and/or breaches.  The penetration testing will identify vulnerable Internet Protocol (IP) access points of the internal and external networks.
